I went chimp trekking in Kibale Forest (Uganda) a couple of months ago and saw a baby chimp. I asked its name and was told, ever so proudly by the Ugandan researchers, "His name is Obama." In America that would be taken as a racial slur, but to these men who work with the chimps doing primatology research it was the ultimate compliment.
