chad, i remember this pic from oaxaca, i love it. glad you are in on this.
i'm curious why some of the trees are painted white? it's not the first i've seen like this. "the white city has grown lax and fallen into despair."-return of the king
in mexico they paint the bottom of trees with lime paint so bugs and ants don't crawl up them. they have these ants in mexico that can strip an entire tree of it's leaves overnight. it's amazing.
me and my dad do the same thing for our apple trees. but it doesn't prevent neighbor kids from stipping the apples off overnight.
